RESPONSIBILITIES

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Primary responsible for the leadership and management of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective management of Computer Hardware, Software, Network, Server, and other Information Systems resources.

    IT OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT


    • Oversee all information technology operations and infrastructure, and evaluate them according to organization’s goals and objectives
    • Design and implement policies and systems in support of the implementation of organization’s strategies
    • Analyze operational requirements of various units in order to determine their technology needs
    • Identify needs for upgrades/updates of systems used
    • Prepare IT financial budgets for IT operations and investments needed, in accordance with overall strategies
    • Ensure that IT tools, systems, and infrastructure are in good working condition
    • Maintain effectiveness and efficiency of IT work processes, tools, systems used by evaluating performance/productivity, implementing standard procedures, recommending IT/IS interventions
    • Initiate, design, and propose IT/IS projects as necessary
    • Act as lead administrator for IT systems and servers, reviewing and approving server access requests and domain and email account creations requests
    • Investigate and implement solutions to address hardware, software, network, and server issues
    • Maintain and secure organization’s IT systems, ensuring business continuity and managing risks through server back ups, maintenance, and security initiatives
    • Undertake screening, testing, and implementing software installation, hardware configuration, server configuration and patches and network configurations. 


     

    IT STAFF MANAGEMENT

    • Lead and manage the IT department staff members, managing their performance, productivity, learning, and development
    • Evaluate IT staff deliverables and outputs
    • Ensure IT staff’s compliance to ALKFI’s Standard Procedures and Policies of the Organization.
    • Provide corrective sanctions to IT Staff, if necessary.
    • Evaluate and develop skills of IT staff by means of coaching, mentoring, training and counseling.


     

    RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

    • Undertake scoping of organization’s technological requirement
    • Assess and recommend available technology to meet the requirements of the organization
    • Direct technological research of each IT area by regularly checking and studying organizational goals, strategies, practices and decisions
    • Undertake research and development of IT Solutions for organizational needs.
    • Maintain and develop technical knowledge through trainings, self-studying, researching and attending seminars and workshops.
    • Recommend information technology strategies by anticipating organizational needs.
    • Prepare and conduct basic and intermediate computer related training modules for users.

    • Computer Desktop hardware / software installation and repair (Windows and MAC)
    • Server Management (Windows Server)
    • Active Directory
    • Outlook (Office 365) Administration
    • Network Topology
    • Network Cabling
    • Database Management
    • Software Development
    • Advance skills on Microsoft Office


     

    EXPERIENCE/ Educational Attainment Required

    • Graduate of Information Systems course
    • 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology track;
    • 5 Years of experience as IT Supervisor / Manager
