Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is indeed coming, and is likely to be much improved over its predecessor. The South Korean major recently hinted that the Flip 5 will be both thinner and lighter than its predecessor and will also come with a large cover display, similar to the one on the recently announced Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.

It is also said that the Flip 5, when folded, will have no gap between the two halves, which has been achieved using a new drop-shaped hinge system, similar to the one on the Oppo Find N2 Flip. However, the device will not gain any dust resistance and is likely to offer an IPX8 water resistance rating just like the last generation model.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will likely get standard hardware upgrades, which include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, faster LPDDR5x type RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage, and the smartphone is also expected to feature a new and improved primary foldable display with enhanced durability. With all these upgrades, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is likely to cost a bit more than the current Z Flip 4, which was launched for Rs 89,999 for the base model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

Unlike the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the bigger and more expensive Z Fold 5 might not get a significant design overhaul, however, it will be thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will also get a new drop-shaped hinge, which is said to reduce the screen gap and is also said to minimise the crease when unfolded.

A report from ET News also indicates that similar to the last two iterations, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will retain stylus support, but one still has to carry it separately, possibly with a help of a case with stylus indentation, which will help the brand push Galaxy Z Fold 5 as a productivity-oriented device.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, possibly with at least 12 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage. According to a report by The Elec, the camera system will mostly remain unchanged, with a triple camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP primary shooter and a 12 MP selfie camera, a minor update from the 10 MP shooter on the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series will consist of various models and the Tab S9 Ultra will be the flagship offering. According to the prominent leakster Evleaks, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, making it the most powerful Android tablet, period. The device is also said to offer up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. Similarly, it will pack a large 14.6-inch AMOLED display, similar to its predecessor.

The tablet is also reportedly fueled by an 11,200 mAh battery and will run on Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 skin on top. Besides, the tablet offers a dual-camera system with a 13 MP wide-angle lens and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens. In terms of looks and aesthetics, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is likely to look similar to the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with a metal unibody finish.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 6 series will also be showcased at the Galaxy Unpacked event. According to a post by SnoopyTech, the Galaxy Watch 6 will be available in two sizes, with the smaller 40mm variant packing a 1.3-inch circular display, and the bigger 44mm model will have a large 1.47-inch OLED screen. Similarly, the Galaxy Watch 6 classic is also reported to be available in two sizes — 43mm and 47mm, respectively.

Both variants are said to feature sapphire crystal glass for added durability and they are also said to get a new Exynos W930 a capable and power-efficient chip, tailored for wearables. Besides, the report also highlights that the Galaxy Watch 6 will offer 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. And lastly, a slightly large battery could further enhance these smartwatches’ battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Buds 3

Samsung could unveil its first smart ring at the Galaxy Unpacked. A smart ring should be able to do everything that a fitness tracker does sans a display. The Elec, a South Korean publication, hints that the Galaxy Ring will make use of circuit boards made by Japan’s Meiko.

Right now, it’s unclear on the set of features that the Galaxy Ring might offer. Considering some of the popular models, we can expect to see technologies like real-time heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, step tracking, and more. The company is also likely to announce the next-generation TWS at the Galaxy Unpacked event — Buds 3, possibly with improved audio quality, enhanced ANC capability, and is also expected to offer better battery life.
